MRI Technologist | MRI Tech specialty in Rochester, NY | Start date 09/28/2026 | Duration 15 weeks | $2,778-$2,990 per week | Guaranteed hours 0.0 | Shift: on-site, 5 days per week, nights (Sunday through Thursday) from 10:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., holidays and on-call as needed. Responsibilities
- Operate the MRI scanner to acquire diagnostic-quality images and adjust sequences as needed
- Prepare patients for scans, explain procedures, position appropriately, and provide comfort during the exam
- Coordinate with physicians and radiologists to ensure timely review and delivery of imaging results
- Administer IVs for contrast when required and manage injection protocol and safety
- Maintain a clean, safe scanning facility, adhere to infection control and radiation safety standards
- Document all procedures accurately while protecting patient confidentiality and data integrity
- Provide patient care support as needed and monitor for patient comfort and safety throughout the process
Requirements
- Education: associate degree in magnetic resonance imaging or radiology
- Licenses/ Certifications: NYS Radiologic Technologist license (willing to obtain NY license after starting); ARRT certification (required); Injection certification (required); BLS (American Heart Association) certification
- Experience: minimum 2 years of MRI experience
- Equipment: GE scanner experience is required
- Other: Level 1 Trauma Center experience preferred; ability to stand for extended periods and work in a high-volume imaging environment
