Overview
Labor and Delivery Nurse (RN) – L&D in Templeton, CA. Start date 10/05/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range $2,728–$2,841 with 36 guaranteed hours. Shift is 3x12 nights (night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM; day shifts 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM during internal transitions). Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital maternity unit.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients and their families, including emergent perinatal situations and circulating for cesarean deliveries.
- Conduct comprehensive maternal and fetal assessments, monitor amniotic fluid status, vaginal bleeding, and respond promptly to abnormalities.
- Manage pain control during labor and assist with epidural catheter placement, including monitoring status during placement and after administration.
- Educate patients and families across all stages of perinatal and postpartum care, tailoring teaching to age, culture, condition, and learning readiness.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and execute goal-oriented care plans; ensure thorough, legible documentation in the electronic medical record.
- Operate within the LDRP model, no on-call requirements, and participate in perinatal emergencies as part of a coordinated care team.

Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice (CA)
- Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery experience
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS); Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS); Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP); Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Course
- Additional certifications: AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS; AHA-NRP or ARC-NALS (as required)
- EPIC electronic health record experience required
- Demonstrated ability to work in a Labor & Delivery unit using a perinatal care model (LDRP)
- Able to work day shifts during the internal transition and switch to night shifts as assignments progress
