Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed radiation therapy to patients per physician orders, ensuring accurate treatment delivery
- Operate and monitor linear accelerators and related therapy equipment
- Position patients and apply immobilization devices to achieve precise treatment delivery
- Verify patient identity, treatment site, and parameters; document treatment sessions accurately
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists, dosimetrists, and medical physics staff to support treatment planning and delivery
- Maintain safety, infection control, and quality assurance protocols; report any safety concerns or equipment issues
Requirements
- ARRT registration in Radiation Therapy (AART-T) and ARRT Radiation Therapy (ARRT-T) certification required
- Therapeutic Radiology Technology Certification (TRT) required
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the submitted unit specialty within the last 3 months
- BLS certification preferred
- Fluoroscopy permit from the state of practice preferred
- Ability to work in an outpatient radiation therapy setting in Glendale, California
