Overview
Seeking a Travel Registered Nurse specialized in Med Surg with rehabilitation experience for an inpatient rehab-med-surg unit in Windsor, VT. The assignment runs for 13 weeks beginning 08/03/2026, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week and a night shift schedule (3x12s). Compensation is paid per week, in the range of $1,996 to $2,089. The unit may require float to other related inpatient areas within the scope of practice.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care and coordinate total nursing care for Med Surg Rehab patients.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, including rehab therapies, to restore function and independence.
- Provide patient and family education and discharge planning, ensuring understanding of care plans.
- May serve as backup Charge Nurse; supervise and support ancillary staff to maintain nursing standards.
- Document care in the electronic medical record (Cerner) and participate in care planning and rounding.
- Assist with ongoing patient assessment, safety monitoring, and coordination of care across units as needed.
Requirements
- Active RN license in New Hampshire or a valid compact license (per profile requirements)
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- 2 years of recent Med Surg Rehab experience
- Charge RN experience required
- Willingness to float to other units within scope of practice
- Previous travel experience (at least 3 months)
- BSN strongly preferred
- Must have own vehicle; local access limited in this small community
Additional Details
- May be required to work every other weekend; holidays may be needed as part of the rotation
- EMR: Cerner
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1 to 4/5; average daily census around 22
- Orientation: 8 hours non-billable
