Physical Therapy Assistant – LTAC travel assignment in Fort Bragg, California. Start date June 22, 2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $1,906–$1,970 per week. Shift is 5x8 days. Responsibilities
- Provide PTA services under supervision as part of a PT-led plan of care for LTAC patients.
- Implement and progress therapeutic exercises, gait training, functional mobility, ROM, strength, and balance programs customized to patient goals.
- Monitor patient responses, document progress in the medical record, and communicate changes to the PT and interdisciplinary team.
- Educate patients and caregivers on safe exercise techniques and home exercise programs; promote safety and fall prevention.
- Assist with modalities and equipment as prescribed; ensure patient safety and adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with the PT, nursing, and therapy colleagues to support discharge planning and optimize functional outcomes.
Requirements
- California Physical Therapy Assistant license in good standing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Education: High School diploma/GED required; Associate's/Technical degree in Physical Therapy Assistant or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of PT-related experience; 2 years' physical therapy or technical experience preferred.
- Must have worked in the unit specialty within the last 3 months; EPIC EMR experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a rural LTAC setting and meet the demands of a fast-paced rehabilitation service.
