Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Travel) | Herrin, Illinois, United States | Start 06/08/2026 | 13 weeks | $2,400-$2,468 per week | Shift: Days | Hospital setting. This travel assignment requires 10-hour day shifts (0800–1830), four days per week, with on-call responsibilities. The role may include float to other facilities as needed. OR nursing in heavy ortho, urology, spine, and robotic cases is anticipated.

Responsibilities
- Assess patients pre-, intra-, and post-operatively within the perioperative team, coordinating with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and nursing staff
- Plan, implement, and evaluate individualized perioperative care plans; provide patient and family education as appropriate
- Maintain sterile technique, advocate for patient safety, and monitor patient status during all phases of the surgical experience
- Administer medications, manage equipment, and assist with robotic and complex orthopedic, urology, and spine procedures as required
- Document accurately in medical records; participate in core measures and quality improvement activities
- Communicate effectively to resolve conflicts, support a healthy team environment, and participate in ongoing continuing education
- May be required to float to other facilities to meet department needs
Requirements
- Active Illinois Registered Nurse license
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- Ability to work in an operating room environment and perform perioperative nursing duties
- Willingness to work a four-day, 10-hour day shift and participate in on-call coverage; able to float to other facilities if needed
- OR/perioperative nursing experience preferred
