Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed ionizing radiation to patients in accordance with the Radiation Oncologist’s prescription and instructions.
- Operate radiation-producing equipment while maintaining strict radiation safety measures.
- Verify treatment parameters and ensure correct patient, treatment site, and setup; monitor patient during therapy sessions.
- Collaborate with the Radiation Oncology team to optimize treatment delivery and patient care.
- Document treatment delivery, machine settings, and patient responses in the medical record.
- Perform routine equipment quality checks and coordinate with the physics/engineering team as needed.
Requirements
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Ability to operate radiation therapy equipment in accordance with safety protocols.
- Availability for a 13-week travel assignment with a daytime, 40-hour work week.
- Strong attention to detail and effective communication with patients and the care team.
- Ability to work in a radiation oncology setting and adhere to established treatment protocols.
