Travel Surgical Tech Job
Surgical Tech – Pediatric Operating Room in Rochester, NY. Start date 04/13/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment with a pay range of $1,443 to $1,520 per week. Shift is 4x10-hour nights; orientation on days for 1–2 weeks. No weekends and no on-call duties. This assignment takes place in a hospital setting and supports pediatric procedures across multiple specialties. Guaranteed hours are not guaranteed.

Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a sterile field for pediatric procedures across general surgery, urology, dental/OMFS, neurosurgery, plastics, burns, ENT, and orthopaedics
- Scrub and circulate during pediatric surgeries; pass instruments, manage counts, and assist the surgeon as needed
- Assist with patient positioning, draping, specimen handling, and transport per protocol
- Verify equipment and supplies are available and functioning; adhere to infection control standards
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support safe and efficient pediatric operations
- Document relevant perioperative information and support postoperative turnover in cooperation with the team
Requirements
- New York state Surgical Technologist license (NY license only) or eligibility to grandfather into Public Health Law 2824
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric surgical tech experience; OR experience in a Level 1 trauma setting may be considered
- Ability to scrub and circulate in the OR
- Pediatric experience strongly preferred; explicit pediatric experience required for the assignment
