Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to adult medical-surgical patients, including postoperative and common MS diagnoses
- Monitor patient status, vital signs, pain, and response to treatments; escalate changes promptly
- Administer prescribed medications, IV therapies, wound care, and manage IV pumps, NG tubes, and feeding tubes
- Document assessments and interventions in EPIC EMR with accuracy and timeliness
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team and assist with discharge planning; float to related MS units as needed
Requirements
- Current New York State RN license (active) and NURSYS verification of licenses
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing
- Travel experience is required; local candidates within 75 miles may be considered at local rate
- Current AHA BLS certification
- EPIC EMR experience
- Ability to work in a hospital MS unit and float to other MS areas as needed
- Driver’s license with address matching demographics
- RTO (time off) requests must be included at time of submission
