Travel Registered Nurse CVOR Job
Registered Nurse – CVOR, Kansas City, KS. This travel - temporary assignment starts 07/19/2026 and runs for 13 weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $3,076 to $3,104 per week. There are no guaranteed hours. Shift is 4x10-hour days. This CVOR role is in an acute-care surgical services setting with responsibility for cardiovascular operating room cases. The assignment is managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care in the CVOR, including cardiac surgery cases, in both scrub and circulating roles as needed.
- Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers, maintain a sterile field, and monitor patient status throughout procedures.
- Prepare and set up the OR, including instruments and equipment, and help ensure efficient case turnover and patient safety.
- Document intraoperative events, assist with equipment management, and uphold infection control and safety standards.
- May be required to float to Bell OR, Cambridge OR, and SPD depending on unit needs; maintain competency across CVOR areas.
- Conduct thorough handoffs to postoperative teams and support recovery of patients as appropriate.
Requirements
- Active Kansas RN license; BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years CVOR experience in a Level 1 trauma center
- Strong recent scrub experience on cardiac surgeries and circulating experience
- Ability to work in a CVOR environment and to float to related areas (Bell OR, Cambridge OR, SPD)
- Weekend rotation required; on-call up to 1 weekend per month with a 2-hour minimum callback; holiday coverage as unit needs
