Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job
Registered Nurse – PCU/IMCU, Utica, New York. This travel assignment starts 07/06/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,265–$2,313 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Day shift, 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. (Block Scheduling is never promised or guaranteed). Setting: hospital unit serving adult patients in IMCU/PCU with 64 beds (including 15 designated Neuro beds). Floating to related units is required.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in the PCU/IMCU, including neuro, cardiac, trauma, COPD, DKA, sepsis, MI, CV stepdown, and post-op cases
- Monitor patient status, interpret assessments, and implement the plan of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Manage specialty equipment as needed (e.g., temporary pacer, chest tubes, arterial lines, BiPAP) and coordinate with Respiratory Therapy for chronic vents
- Administer prescribed medications, monitor effects, and educate patients and families about care plans and treatments
- Document care accurately in the EPIC electronic medical record and ensure compliance with unit protocols and safety standards
- Float to related units as required and respond to clinical changes with timely interventions
Requirements
- Active NY Registered Nurse license; NURSYS verification of license(s) required
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of IMCU/PCU experience; travel experience preferred
- EPIC EMR experience
- Ability to float to related units as needed
- RTO (time off) must be included at submission
- Up-to-date resume that documents 2+ years of IMCU/PCU experience and any prior travel assignments
- Valid driver’s license with address that matches demographics
