Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a 48-bed Med-Surg unit, including post-op and acute illness management.
- Administer medications and IV therapies, start peripheral lines, and manage vascular access as assigned; support non-invasive airway management and oxygen therapy.
- Monitor patient status, interpret findings (including ABG as needed), and respond to changes; participate in rapid response or code events when indicated.
- Perform wound care (including wound VAC, CBI) and manage drains (e.g., chest tube) per physician orders; adhere to infection control and isolation precautions.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (IV, PT,Respiratory, Pharmacy, Social Services, Radiology, Rapid Response, Transport) and contribute to discharge planning and patient education.

Requirements
- Active RN license in Idaho or a compact license in hand at submittal
- BLS certification required
- 2 years’ Med-Surg/Acute Care experience preferred; travel experience required; Trauma Level II experience preferred
- Proficiency with Epic charting
- Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts; float to other units if competencies are met; 100-mile radius rule applies (no local candidates)
