Respiratory Therapist (Registered Respiratory Therapist) travel assignment in Clearlake, California. This position is a travel temporary assignment at a critical access setting. Responsibilities
- Provide professional respiratory care to patients per the established plan of care
- Assess patients, administer prescribed therapies, and monitor response and tolerance
- Perform and document pulmonary tests, including EKGs and ABGs, per clinical needs
- Manage oxygen delivery, airway clearance techniques, and ventilation support within scope
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to adjust therapy as indicated and ensure patient safety
- Document care activities and communicate changes in patient status to the care team
Requirements
- Active Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required
- AHA BLS required; AHA PALS, ACLS, and NRP required
- Ability to perform EKGs and ABGs
- Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) preferred
- Ability to work nights and to function effectively in a critical care setting
