Responsibilities
- Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned inpatients or outpatients within acute rehab and rehab pathways, as directed by the therapy team.
- Plan and implement an ongoing occupational therapy program as prescribed by the ordering physician and therapy team.
- Regularly update treatment plans and home exercise programs; independently manage a full caseload; adjust plans based on clinical progress and insurance authorization.
- Document progress and communicate with the care team, patients, and families; utilize EMR systems including Net Health Therapy and Meditech.
- Maintain coverage expectations, including holidays as necessary to support hospital operations.
Requirements
- Hawaii state license (active) required by start of assignment
- BLS certification from American Red Cross
- Minimum 2 years of work experience with adults in outpatient and acute care settings
- Ability to work in a hospital/acute rehab environment
- Must arrive the Thursday before the start date to complete employee health requirements
