Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) travel assignment in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Start date 06/01/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay $1,518–$1,601 per week. Guaranteed hours 36 per week. Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and ongoing occupational therapy assessments for residents under the supervision of an OT.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized OT treatment plans to improve or maintain functional abilities.
- Execute therapeutic interventions and document progress in accordance with facility policy and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (OT, PT, nursing, social services) to coordinate care and discharge planning.
- Educate residents and families on prescribed exercises, activities, safety, and activities of daily living adaptations.
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation, and participate in quality improvement processes as assigned.
Requirements
- Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant license in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain licensure.
- Current COTA certification.
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
- Experience in a skilled nursing facility or geriatric rehabilitation setting preferred.
- Agency onboarding requirement: New Mexico caregiver account.
- Ability to work in a skilled nursing facility environment, with shift hours 08:00–16:30.
