Assignment duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,469 to $2,697 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: Day shift, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM (5x8). The role involves working within an acute care environment and may require coverage across multiple nearby facilities within the assignment network.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive adult dysphagia and communication evaluations in the acute care setting
- Administer and interpret MBSS (modified barium swallow study) as required and manage feeding/safety implications
- Develop, implement, and document patient-centered treatment plans; monitor progress and adjust as needed
- Perform bedside swallow evaluations and manage dysphagia-focused care, including modification of strategies
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team (physicians, nurses, dietitians, therapists) to optimize patient outcomes and discharge planning
- Participate in a weekend rotation (approximately every 3rd Saturday/Sunday) and provide cross-site coverage as needed within the assignment network

Requirements
- Licensure: Current nursing license per the state of assignment
- Certification: Current BLS certification
- Experience: At least two years of recent acute care experience with adults (one year may be considered if an internship was completed in acute care)
- Skills: Proficient in conducting MBSS
- Availability: Day shift (8:00 AM – 4:30 PM) with weekend rotation; ability to float between facilities within the assignment network
