Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting under supervision appropriate to the scope of an LPN.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments within the licensed scope of practice and document administration accurately.
- Monitor resident status, record vital signs, assess changes, and communicate findings to the charge nurse and care team.
- Support care planning by participating in rounds, updating charts, and assisting with activities of daily living as needed.
- Collaborate with RNs, CNAs, physicians, and other healthcare staff to ensure continuity of care and timely response to changes in condition.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring proper documentation, safety, and infection control protocols.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license (state as applicable; NM preferred)
- Graduation from an approved practical nursing program
- Prior experience in a long-term care setting preferred
- Ability to work the listed night shift (18:00–06:00) in a long-term care environment
- Proficient in charting and basic bedside documentation; good communication and teamwork skills
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and comply with site policies
