Responsibilities
- Delivers coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
- Monitors patient status using telemetry data and other clinical information, triages appropriately, and escalates concerns per protocol.
- Documents care, medication administration, and patient responses in the electronic health record.
- Collaborates with physicians, ancillary staff, and families to implement and adjust care plans, ensuring safe, high-quality patient care.
- Supports patient and family education and discharge planning as appropriate.
Requirements
- Current, active RN license in California.
- Ability to work nights on a 12-hour shift schedule (3x12) and commit to a 13-week contract.
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and independent decision-making.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to perform professional nursing duties in a hospital setting and adhere to established standards of care.
