Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (Travel) in Rochester, NY. Start date: 05/11/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,094-$2,165 per week. Guaranteed hours: none. Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts (D/E/N). Setting: hospital emergency department, a high-volume adult ED in a Level I trauma center. This assignment requires prior travel ER experience; first-time travel ER nurses are not eligible.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults in a fast-paced ED, including triage, initial assessment, and ongoing monitoring
- Administer prescribed medications, coordinate telemetry monitoring, and respond promptly to clinical changes
- Collaborate with physicians, techs, case management, and ancillary staff to maintain efficient patient flow and appropriate disposition (admission, transfer, discharge)
- Perform accurate documentation in the electronic medical record and ensure patient safety, privacy, and regulatory compliance
- Manage boarder patients and high-volume workload, participate in rapid response and code events as needed
- Assist with procedures and support a multidisciplinary approach to trauma and critical care in a Level I ED
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in New York
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
- Telemetry experience required
- Prior travel ER experience required
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Ability to work rotating D/E/N shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call/callback as needed
- Note: This assignment requires prior travel ER experience; ER is not able to support first-time travelers
