CT Technologist, Radiology travel assignment in Rochester, NY. Start date 04/27/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay $2,635-$2,789. Guaranteed hours 0 per week. Shift includes 12-hour blocks with nights on Fridays and Saturdays 7:00 pm–7:30 am EST, plus on-call and callback as needed; holidays per unit requirements. Responsibilities
- Verify patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan; follow department policy and patient safety protocols.
- Prepare patients for CT scans, explain the procedure, and obtain IV access as needed; ensure patient comfort.
- Position patients and perform CT imaging, including required patient handling for those with limited mobility; operate CT scanners (Philips and Siemens equipment knowledge preferred).
- Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging and support charting in the electronic health record; ensure imaging is correctly routed to PACS.
- Maintain a clean, safe scanning area; adhere to infection control and safety standards; document all required components in EPIC.
Requirements
- NYS licensure as a Radiologic Technologist with injection therapy certification stated on the license prior to start.
- Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology; ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology.
- Two (2) years of CT experience; Level I Trauma Center experience preferred.
- BLS (American Heart Association); Telemetry knowledge required.
- Injection certification preferred and willing to complete during orientation.
- Proficiency with EPIC for documentation; familiarity with Philips and Siemens CT equipment; Epic experience highly desired.
