Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg|Tele Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg / Telemetry in Burlington, Vermont, starting 06/15/2026 for 4 weeks. Weekly pay $2,208–$2,367 per week. No guaranteed hours. Shift: 12-hour nights (3x12). Travel - Temporary Assignment in a hospital setting. This opening requires recent travel RN experience, strong unit skills, and a willingness to support unit needs, including every-other-weekend availability.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care for adults on a medical-surgical and neurosurgical/surgical unit, following current standards of practice
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care; administer medications, manage IV therapy, and monitor patient responses
- Conduct NIH Stroke Scale assessments and respond to neurologic changes; follow protocol in coordination with the stroke/neurosurgical team
- Document accurately in the Epic electronic medical record; ensure timely charting of assessments, medications, and care plans
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and modify the plan of care; provide patient and family education and discharge planning as appropriate
- Maintain patient safety and quality of care during shifts, including handoffs, rounds, and adherence to unit policies; schedules may require every-other-weekend work and adjustment to meet unit needs
Requirements
- Active RN license on file at time of submission
- BLS and ACLS certifications; NIHSS certification required prior to start
- Minimum 2 years of unit experience (medical-surgical preferred) with neurosurgical/surgical unit exposure; large teaching facility experience strongly preferred
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Prior travel experience required; ability to work a 12-hour night shift and operate in a fast-paced, hospital setting
