Overview
Registered Nurse – NICU needed for a travel assignment in Pennington, New Jersey. Start date 09/29/2026 for an 8-week assignment with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. Night shift available: 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM (3x12-hour nights), with every other weekend and every other holiday required. This is a Level III NICU in a hospital setting, featuring 12 intensive care bassinets and an additional 15 Level II bassinets. The unit uses Cerner for electronic medical records. Prior travel experience is strongly preferred. NJ or compact nursing licensure is required at submission. Certifications include BLS and NRP.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to neonates in the NICU, including continuous monitoring and regular patient assessments
- Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders; manage basic respiratory support and assist with ventilator care as directed
- perform NICU-specific procedures (e.g., venipuncture, line maintenance, IV access) and manage equipment safety
- Document all patient data in the Cerner EMR, ensure accurate charting, and communicate changes to the care team
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary staff; support families with education and counseling as needed
- Maintain strict infection control practices, patient safety protocols, and unit-specific policies
Requirements
- Active RN license in New Jersey or a compact state at time of submission
- BLS and NRP certifications required
- Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience
- Prior travel nursing experience strongly preferred
- Experience in a Level III NICU setting and Cerner EMR familiarity preferred
- Ability to work the specified night shift and meet every other weekend/holiday requirements
