Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the emergency department, including initial assessment, triage, and ongoing monitoring
- Administer medications, initiate treatments, and respond to emergent situations per physician orders
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans; document care in the electronic medical record
- Maintain patient safety, advocate for patients and families, and manage patient flow during high-volume periods
- Perform routine procedures, assist with diagnostic tests, and support discharge planning and patient education
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts RN license with Nursys verification pulled within the last week; must show all licenses (past and present)
- Minimum 2 years of acute care ER experience; able to function effectively in a fast-paced ED
- BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association); flu vaccination during flu season
- Two recent Manager/Supervisor references in the ER specialty; complete Skills Checklist and documentation of travel experience (first-time travelers not considered)
- EPIC EMR experience preferred; valid driver’s license with address matching demographics
- RTO requests must be included at submission; not guaranteed after confirmation
