Travel Licensed Practical Nurse Long-Term Care Job
Licensed Practical Nurse, Long-Term Care travel assignment in Springfield, Colorado. Start date 06/01/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $1,151–$1,253 per week with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift: 6:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (days). Work setting: Critical Access Hospital with an LTC intermediate facility and a memory care unit attached but staffed separately.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct and indirect total nursing care for residents during the assigned shift.
- Assign, direct, and supervise resident care; address resident needs and document in the nurse’s notes.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered by physicians.
- Report changes with residents or personnel to the Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, and/or Resident Care Coordinator; keep physicians and families informed as needed.
- Promote teamwork between staff members, shifts, and other departments; complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
- May work across shifts or serve as Treatment Nurse as needed; when an LPN and RN share a shift, the RN acts as Charge Nurse and the LPN reports to the RN.
- Attend meetings and educational sessions; maintain regular attendance.
- Oversee CNAs and supervise tasks to ensure completion; document nursing notes for acute illness, doctor visits, passes, and returns.
- Notify the physician/POA with updates or changes and new orders.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Active LPN license (Colorado)
- Experience in long-term care or an intermediate facility setting preferred
- Ability to administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Competence in supervising CNAs and collaborating with a charge nurse when applicable
- Willingness to work a day shift (6:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.) and maintain 36 hours per week
- Ability to work in a long-term care setting and maintain accurate, timely documentation
