Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for IMCU/PCU patients with conditions such as sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, and chronic kidney disease.
- Monitor patient status, perform ongoing assessments, interpret telemetry, and respond rapidly to changes in condition.
- Administer medications and therapies as prescribed, including heparin drips when clinically indicated; manage IV lines and routine therapies.
- Collaborate with physicians, case management, and other members of the healthcare team; document care plans, progress notes, and relevant changes in the electronic medical record.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort, educate patients and families as appropriate, and participate in discharge planning and goals of care.
- Adhere to unit protocols, infection control practices, and quality improvement initiatives; manage equipment and ensure accurate charting and reporting.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in good standing (state as applicable for practice)
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent nursing experience in PCU/IMCU or equivalent critical care setting
- Ability to work night shift in a hospital environment
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Nursing degree from an accredited program (ASN/ADN or BSN) and willingness to adhere to assignment requirements
