Occupational Therapist – Acute Care, Glendive, Montana. This travel, temporary assignment is in a long-term care / nursing home setting with dayshift coverage. Start date: 06/22/2026. Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive OT evaluations for residents and develop individualized treatment plans to address functional deficits, ADLs, mobility, and safety.
- Implement evidence-based OT interventions to promote independence in daily activities and improve quality of life for residents.
- Document progress notes, treatment plans, goals, and outcomes in a timely, compliant manner; monitor changes and adjust plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with nursing, physical therapy, speech therapy, social work, and physicians to coordinate care and discharge planning.
- Educate residents and families on therapeutic goals, home program strategies, and safety considerations; recommend adaptive equipment as appropriate.
- Ensure a safe, compliant care environment and participate in interdisciplinary rounds and care conferences.
Requirements
- Active Occupational Therapist license in good standing (Montana licensure or eligibility for Montana licensure)
- Relevant experience in acute care or skilled nursing/long-term care settings preferred
- Ability to work a 36-hour guaranteed week on days
- Strong documentation and communication skills; ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to thrive in a travel assignment environment and adapt to adjusting patient needs
