Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job
Registered Nurse – PCU (Travel) in an inpatient care setting with a neuro focus in Atlanta, GA. Start date 06/15/2026 for an eight-week assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift is 2x3 Nights. Weekly pay ranges from $1,601 to $1,677. The role supports neuro/step-down patients in a high-acuity environment; EPIC is the required electronic medical record system. NIHSS documentation in the CV packet is required to be considered. Neuro step-down experience is required; strong med/surg background with NIHSS and ACLS may be considered. Manager interviews and offers will follow the profile review. Block scheduling is not used; weekends are required.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to neuro/PCU patients, including assessments, monitoring, medication administration, and treatment plan execution
- Monitor neurological status, perform appropriate neuro checks, and escalate changes per protocol
- Document patient information, care plans, and physician orders in EPIC; ensure NIHSS-related documentation is complete when applicable
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, discharge planning, and patient/family education
- Ensure patient safety, adherence to clinical guidelines, and accurate charting of interventions and responses
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted RN license in Georgia
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a neuro/PCU or step-down setting
- Neuro step-down experience required; NIHSS documentation in CV packet is mandatory
- EPIC electronic medical record experience preferred
- Ability to work a 2x3 night shift schedule, including weekends; consistent attendance and reliability in a high-acuity environment
- Strong clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills
