Travel Registered Nurse Float Pool Job
Registered Nurse – Float Pool | Geneva, NY | Start 08/31/2026 | 22–26 weeks (holiday coverage required) | $2,035–$2,115 per week | 3x12 day shifts (7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.) | Short Term Acute Care Hospital travel assignment
This travel RN position requires cross-training across multiple units and the ability to float to ICU, ER, Med/Surg, and MST as needed. A BSN is required, with critical care experience and relevant certifications in place. The assignment is for a temporary, travel role with holiday coverage and no guaranteed hours.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care across multiple units (med/surg, ICU, ER, MST) as assigned
- Assess patient conditions, implement and document care plans, and monitor responses to interventions
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; monitor for adverse effects
- Perform accurate charting in the electronic medical record and communicate patient status to the care team
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and patient-centered care
- Uphold safety, infection control, and patient privacy standards; engage families with professional communication
Requirements
- Licenses: Current NYS RN license
- Education: BSN required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS (through American Heart Association or RQI system) and NIHSS required; CPI certification within 90 days of hire; Basic Coronary Care within 6 months of hire
- Experience: Minimum 1 year in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Critical Care units
- Additional: Must be comfortable floating to ICU/ER/MS/MST and demonstrate age-appropriate patient care for pediatric to geriatric populations
