Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department (ER) travel assignment in Utica, New York. Start date 07/20/2026 for 13 weeks, guaranteed 36 hours per week, with a pay range of $2,058–$2,180 per week. Shift: Day, 12-hour shifts, 3 days per week in a hospital ED setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for a diverse ED population, including newborns, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
- Conduct triage, rapid assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing reassessment; document findings and interventions in the EMR
- Administer medications, perform IV therapy and crisis interventions per physician orders
- Monitor patients with acuity ranging from high to critical; respond to deteriorating conditions and participate in code/rapid response events
- Collaborate with physicians, bedside nurses, respiratory therapy, radiology, and ancillary teams; coordinate discharges and referrals
- Operate specialty equipment and procedures common to ED care (Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun) and maintain unit readiness
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, pain management, and patient/family education
- Floating to related ED areas as needed to meet staffing and patient care needs
Requirements
- Active NY RN license; license verification with Nursys and full licensure information
- Certifications: Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC (TNCC must be in hand)
- Experience: Minimum 2+ years of ED nursing experience; pediatric exposure preferred
- Travel experience required; documentation of travel history and 2 recent ED Charge/Manager RN references
- EMR proficiency, specifically EPIC
- Driver’s license with address matching demographics
- Up-to-date resume reflecting ED experience; clear documentation of travel assignments
- RTO (Request Time Off) must be included at submission
- Able to work in a high-acuity ED setting with high patient turnover and potential for floating
