Responsibilities
- Administer prescribed respiratory therapies (oxygen, humidity, chest therapies, nebulized meds) and monitor patient response.
- Manage mechanically ventilated patients, adjust settings under physician direction, wean as appropriate, and assist with airway clearance.
- Perform arterial blood gas collection and interpretation when needed; adjust treatment plans based on results and clinical status.
- Document care, assessments, and outcomes in the Epic EMR; communicate findings with physicians, nurses, and respiratory therapy colleagues.
- Provide care across inpatient units and be flexible to support NICU to ICU needs; assist with outpatient EKGs as part of coverage.
- Maintain compliance with BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP requirements; participate in safety and infection control practices.
Requirements
- Active Montana license (MT) required
- CRT or RRT certification required
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
- 2+ years of acute care hospital experience
- Epic EMR experience preferred/required
- Ability to work across inpatient units, including NICU to ICU, with flexibility for day/night shifts
