Travel Registered Nurse Neuro Job
Registered Nurse - Neuro travel assignment in Rochester, NY. Start date: 08/03/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,153–$2,202. Shift: 12-hour rotating day/evening/night. This unit is an inpatient neuro service that includes a Level 4 Epilepsy Monitoring Unit using continuous video EEG technology and cares for patients with stroke, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Guillain–Barré syndrome, and other neurological conditions. The assignment involves rotating shifts, weekends, and on-call responsibilities as part of unit coverage.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care to adults on a specialized neurological unit, including stroke, epilepsy, MS, and Guillain–Barré syndrome
- Monitor telemetry and operate continuous video EEG equipment; perform focused neuro assessments and NIHSS scoring as required
- Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and respond to neurological emergencies such as seizures or acute changes in status
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team (physicians, case management, PT/OT, speech therapy) to develop and implement patient-centered care plans
- Document in the electronic medical record with accuracy, including assessments, interventions, and patient education
- Ensure patient safety and provide education to patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning
Requirements
- Registered Nurse license required (NY license only)
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- NIHSS certification
- Telemetry experience required
- Minimum of 2 years RN experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced neuro inpatient unit with EEG monitoring
