Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Utilize critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment to guide patient care.
- Perform ongoing patient assessment, monitor clinical status, and respond to changes in condition.
- Administer medications and therapies as ordered; document care and outcomes in accordance with policy.
Requirements
- Ability to deliver direct patient care in an ICU setting.
- Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and teamwork with multidisciplinary staff.
