Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adults in ICU/IMCU, with emphasis on neurological conditions and critical care needs.
- Perform comprehensive neuro assessments, monitor level of consciousness, and cooperate with protocols for neuro monitoring and intracranial pressure management as applicable.
- Manage ventilated patients, administer medications, and adjust care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Respond to clinical changes, initiate code procedures when needed, and ensure patient safety during transfers between units.
- Document care accurately, update physicians on patient status, and participate in handoffs and rounds.
Requirements
- Active RN license with Nursys verification
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the specialty (ICU/IMCU or critical care) with strong neuro-focused background
- Certification card on file; current basic life support (BLS) or equivalent as required
- Demonstrated ability to work in ICU/IMCU with float between units; support for high-acuity, neuro-focused care
- No work history gaps greater than 60 days on resume; thorough skills checklist and professional references available
- Education: graduate of an approved registered nursing program
