Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adults on a short-term acute inpatient psychiatry unit, prioritizing safety and therapeutic engagement.
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments, monitor symptoms, and respond to changes in patient status.
- Administer and monitor psychotropic medications as ordered; collaborate with prescribers on medication adjustments to optimize outcomes.
- Develop and update individualized care plans in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team; support crisis intervention and de-escalation as needed.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Oracle EMR; communicate patient progress and plan of care to the treatment team and family as appropriate.
- Support admissions, discharges, and transitions between levels of care; contribute to a safe, therapeutic milieu and family education as indicated.

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in the state of New Hampshire (or eligibility to practice per state regulations)
- General RN education from an accredited program (ADN or BSN) and current nursing practice
- Experience in psychiatric or mental health care, preferably in an inpatient setting
- Ability to work a night-shift schedule (7:00 pm–7:00 am) on a 3x12-hour rotation
- Proficiency with Oracle EMR or demonstrated ability to learn new electronic medical record systems quickly
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills; comfort in a fast-paced, acute care environment
