Responsibilities
- Provide RN-level care for adult Med Surg patients per provider orders; perform comprehensive assessments, care planning, and ongoing reassessments.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, oxygen, blood products, and other treatments; ensure accurate documentation in the electronic health record.
- Monitor patient condition and interpret cardiac rhythms; escalate changes per protocol and collaborate with the care team.
- Document using Cerner; utilize Care Compass to organize assessments, tasks, procedures, and patient education.
- Deliver patient and family education on disease process, treatment plans, medications, pain management, wound care, discharge planning, and follow-up.
- Facilitate safe transfers of care using SBAR; adhere to infection prevention practices and patient confidentiality; participate in interdisciplinary rounding and mentoring of other staff when appropriate.

Requirements
- Current Colorado RN license in good standing or ability to obtain licensure
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Minimum 5 years of Med Surg or Emergency Room experience
- Previous travel nurse experience
- Cerner EHR experience required
- BLS required; ACLS required or must be completed within 3 months; PALS required or must be completed within 3 months
- Basic computer skills and ability to navigate electronic health records
