Travel Registered Nurse Wound Care Job
RN — Wound Care in Saint Louis, Missouri for a travel assignment beginning 08/24/2026. The role offers 40 hours per week on a dayshift (5x8s, 07:00–15:30) in an acute care hospital setting serving adult patients. Weekly pay ranges from $1,877 to $2,036, with a 40-hour guaranteed schedule. Primary duties include VAC changes, dressing changes, and wound photography.

Responsibilities
- Provide wound care for adult patients on the wound care unit, including VAC therapy changes and dressing changes; capture wound photography as needed.
- Assess and manage ulcers (pressure, neuropathic, venous, arterial); perform debridement and ostomy care when applicable.
- Document care in the electronic charting system (EPIC); monitor progress and communicate with the interdisciplinary team (PT, Respiratory, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response, Pharmacy, Transportation, Unit Secretary).
- Monitor for signs of infection, ensure safety and infection control adherence, and adjust care plans in collaboration with the care team.
- Provide patient and family education; assist with discharge planning and coordination of follow-up care.
- Float within scope to meet facility needs; maintain accurate patient handoffs and adherence to unit protocols.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Illinois required at submittal; Missouri license may be submitted without license (requires MO or compact licensure later).
- BLS certification required; NIH (per posting); WOCN certification preferred.
- Minimum 1 year RN experience; wound-care experience preferred; unit accepts first-time travelers.
- Peritoneal dialysis knowledge required.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited RN program; eligible for IL/MO licensure; pending license accepted.
