Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for patients in the ICU according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Monitor patient status, administer medications and therapies as ordered, document care, and respond to evolving clinical conditions.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff, and coordinate care with physicians, therapists, and other disciplines.
- Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and supervisory discretion to plan, implement, and evaluate care for a patient or assigned group.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort, maintain infection control practices, and adhere to unit policies and regulatory guidelines.
Requirements
- ICU nursing experience or demonstrated ability to function effectively in an ICU setting
- Ability to supervise and coordinate care with interdisciplinary teams
- Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and independent decision-making skills
- Excellent communication with patients, families, and multidisciplinary staff
- Willingness to work daytime, 12-hour shifts in a hospital ICU environment
- Ability to work in Simi Valley, California
