Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations according to established protocols, selecting appropriate sequences and parameters to optimize image quality
- Position patients correctly, explain procedures, and ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the exam
- Monitor patients during imaging, screen for contraindications, and respond to any adverse events per protocol
- Acquire, process, and archive MRI images; ensure proper labeling, coil use, and minimization of artifacts
- Maintain equipment, participate in routine quality checks, and coordinate with radiology peers to meet department standards
- Document procedures and communicate results or concerns to the radiology team in a timely, professional manner
Requirements
- ARRT MRI certification (or current eligibility with active ARRT MRI credential)
- Required AHA BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent MRI experience in the specialty
- Strong knowledge of MRI safety, patient positioning, and imaging protocols
- Ability to work a/night schedule: Thursday through Sunday, 9:00 pm–7:30 am, with some call
- No local candidates within 50 miles; travel/relocation eligible as part of the assignment
