Travel Licensed Practical Nurse Med Surg Job
Licensed Practical Nurse needed for a Med/Surg Telemetry overflow unit in Rochester, New York. This is a travel, temporary assignment beginning 06/22/2026 for Weeks. Weekly pay ranges from $1,181 to $1,289. Guaranteed hours are 0. The shift is 3x12-hour days. The unit supports ED boarders and med/surg telemetry care within a hospital setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide bedside nursing care on a med/surg telemetry overflow unit, including continuous monitoring of patient status and telemetry data
- Administer medications and injections, manage IV therapy, and perform phlebotomy as competency allows
- Support NG/G-tube and feeding-tube care, Foley management, wound care, and care of JP/Hemovac drains
- Deliver oxygen therapy as prescribed, monitor vital signs and blood glucose, and perform 12-lead EKGs as part of routine assessments
- Apply isolation precautions, assist with admissions and discharge assessments, and collaborate with the unit team and support services
Requirements
- Active New York Licensed Practical Nurse license (in hand to submit)
- BLS certification required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Minimum 1 year of recent RN experience required
- Phlebotomy and IV placement competency required
- Ability to float to med/surg patients as needed; weekend coverage every other week; orientation of 12 hours; block schedule may be accommodated but not guaranteed; first-time traveler accepted
