Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic radiography procedures with emphasis on mammography, producing high-quality images for interpretation
- Corroborate patient clinical history with procedures and document information for licensed practitioners
- Prepare patients for imaging, provide instructions to obtain optimal results, and help reduce anxiety
- Select and operate radiography equipment; position patient and equipment to best demonstrate target anatomy
- Immobilize patients as needed; determine exposure factors to minimize radiation exposure to patient and staff
- Evaluate images for technical quality; ensure correct patient identification and documentation
- Assist with interventional procedures, maintain aseptic technique, and administer contrast media or medications as prescribed when allowed by policy
- Deliver compassionate care, address patient needs, and follow applicable safety and institutional guidelines

Requirements
- Education: Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Radiologic Technology from an accredited program
- Licenses/ Certifications: OBMI and ARRT-registered Mammography Technologist; Current BLS certification
- Experience: None required; Preferred: minimum 2 years of relevant experience
- Physical/Functional requirements: Ability to perform radiographic imaging duties and lift up to 50 pounds; ability to work in a fast-paced hospital setting
- Travel assignment eligibility: Must meet job notes requirements; CRASE training may be required if travel assignment extends beyond six months
