Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for NICU patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of assigned nursing staff across multiple levels.
- Coordinate care with other disciplines while using critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making.
- Monitor neonates, interpret assessments, adjust care plans, and document findings accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians, families, and interdisciplinary teams to support infant and family-centered care.
Requirements
- Active RN license in California (or eligibility to practice in CA)
- NICU experience preferred
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts (36 hours per week) in a high-acuity NICU
- Strong critical thinking, clinical judgment, and communication skills
- Competence in collaborating with a multidisciplinary team and coaching junior staff
