Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job
Registered Nurse - Progressive Care (PCU) in Atlanta, Georgia. Travel assignment starting 04/20/2026 for 8 weeks. Weekly pay range $1,669–$1,773 with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Shift: 2x3 Nights. Setting: hospital-based PCU/IMCU unit with cardiac population.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct, evidence-based nursing care to adults in the PCU/IMCU with cardiac diagnoses, including STEMI and NSTEMI patients.
- Monitor telemetry, vital signs, and hemodynamic status; administer, titrate, and manage cardiac drips as protocol (e.g., milrinone, dobutamine) and vasopressors as ordered.
- Conduct ongoing assessments; implement care plans, administer medications, document changes, and communicate patient status to the multidisciplinary team.
- Respond promptly to cardiac events, participate in rapid response/Code team as needed, and collaborate with cardiology to optimize patient outcomes.
- Coordinate with case management and discharge planning to support timely transfers and safe transitions of care.
- Maintain patient safety and comfort, including assistance with mobility, line/tube management, and infection control practices.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia
- Minimum 2 years of PCU/IMCU experience in a facility of similar size (28-bed PCU/IMCU)
- Documented PCU experience with a cardiac population
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Ability to work in a 1:3–4 nurse-to-patient ratio and in a telemetry-equipped environment
- Experience with cardiac drips (milrinone, dobutamine, vasopressors) and STEMI/NSTEMI care pathways
