Genesis - West Region - Bear Canyon Rhb Ctr
Mid Level
Step into a purpose-driven role as a Registered Nurse in Long-Term Care in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where every shift offers the opportunity to influence quality of life for residents who depend on skilled, compassionate care. In LTC, your clinical judgment, meticulous assessment skills, and patient-centered leadership become the threads that weave safety, comfort, and dignity into daily living. You’re not just managing medications or monitoring vitals—you’re coordinating comprehensive care plans, guiding interdisciplinary teams, and acting as a trusted advocate for residents and their families. Envision the professional satisfaction of helping individuals maintain independence, navigate chronic conditions, and achieve meaningful days. Amid this calling, you’ll discover New Mexico’s inviting spirit: sun-bright skies, the breathtaking expanse of desert landscapes, and the warm, welcoming communities that celebrate heritage, food, and music. Albuquerque, with its outdoor beauty and urban vitality, provides a vibrant backdrop for your nursing career and personal well-being, offering easy access to outdoor trails, cultural events, and a thriving local scene that enriches every work-life balance moment.

Location benefits extend beyond a single city. Working in Albuquerque means joining a supportive local health ecosystem with strong partnerships across hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities that value geriatric excellence, continuous learning, and teamwork. You’ll find opportunities to grow within the state while also enjoying the possibility of assignments across various locations in the U.S., gaining exposure to diverse facility models, electronic health records systems, and patient populations. This breadth strengthens your clinical arsenal—from memory care and dementia support to wound management, infection control, fall prevention, and transitions of care. Albuquerque’s climate and cultural richness complement your professional life, offering after-work activities—from strolls through Old Town to weekend adventures in the Sandia foothills—that help sustain resilience and fulfillment in demanding healthcare environments.

In this role, you’ll own key responsibilities that reinforce your expertise and advance your LTC specialty. You will assess residents’ conditions, administer medications, monitor vital signs, interpret labs, and promptly update care plans in collaboration with physicians, therapists, social workers, and families. You’ll lead efficient handoffs during shift changes, ensure precise documentation in electronic health records, and advocate for evidence-based practices in safety, nutrition, and rehabilitation. You’ll participate in care coordination during transitions, support discharge planning, and mentor nursing assistants to uphold high standards of infection control, medication safety, and compassionate, person-centered care. The LTC setting invites ongoing professional growth—opportunities to pursue geriatric care certifications, leadership tracks, and potential advancement to roles such as charge nurse or nurse manager. Our benefits package is designed to reward your commitment: a competitive weekly pay range of $873–$899, plus a bonus program, housing assistance, and the potential for contract extensions based on facility needs and performance. You’ll also receive robust support, including 24/7 assistance from a dedicated travel and support team as you transition between assignments, relocation resources, and a streamlined onboarding process that respects your expertise and time. Start date is March 2, 2026, for a multi-week assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week, and you’ll be positioned to extend further if you and the facility are aligned. Note that the hours and pay rates listed are estimates and may vary; final compensation packages and guaranteed hours will be confirmed during the hiring process.

Our company’s values center on empowering staff to grow, learn, and lead within a supportive, collaborative culture. We’re committed to clear career pathways, mentorship, and ongoing education that equip you to elevate care standards in LTC. You’ll be part of a network that recognizes your clinical voice, respects your professional goals, and provides resources to help you flourish—from training and credential support to leadership development and work-life balance initiatives. This is more than a job—it’s a trajectory toward mastery in geriatric care, with a community that celebrates your contributions and invests in your future.
