Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor mechanical ventilation, including weaning and troubleshooting high-pressure alarms
- Assist with intubation, extubation, and care of artificial airways (ET tube and tracheostomy)
- Provide airway support (HFNC, BiPAP, CPAP), suctioning, and airway clearance techniques
- Conduct ABG sampling, patient assessments, and appropriate medication administration
- Document care in EPIC and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team; participate in rapid response as needed
Requirements
- Active NY state license in-hand
- Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential and BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of related experience
- EPIC charting proficiency
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and be on-call
- Travel candidates, including first-time travelers, are welcomed
