Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Registered Nurse – OR (CVOR) travel assignment in Burlington, Vermont. Start date 06/15/2026 for an estimated 13–16 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,927–$3,036 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Responsibilities
- Deliver intraoperative nursing care for cardiovascular/open-heart procedures as scrub and/or circulating nurse as assigned
- Maintain sterile technique, instrument handling, equipment preparation, and specimen management to support the surgical team
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, document events, and communicate with anesthesia and surgeons to ensure patient safety
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team, manage equipment and supplies, and uphold infection control and safety standards
- Coordinate with the anesthesia team and postoperative care staff to ensure smooth patient transitions
- If floated to other OR suites, perform circulating duties as needed (scrub responsibilities limited to CVOR)
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years OR RN experience with recent CardioVascular / Open Heart OR experience
- Must be able to scrub heart cases
- BLS required; CNOR preferred
- Prior travel experience required
- Epic experience within the past 2 years is required
- Experience in a large, academic, teaching hospital setting required
- Ability to work a 12-hour shift and a Monday–Sunday work week; on-call every 5 weeks, including one full weekend
- Must be flexible with schedule to meet unit and patient care needs
- Reliable transportation is required; public transportation is not available in this area
- May be required to float to other OR suites; if floated, would circulate, not scrub
