Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care in the Cath Lab for a patient or assigned group per established standards and the nursing process
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for cath lab cases; document findings and interventions
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; coordinate care with physicians, technologists, and other disciplines
- Apply critical thinking, professional judgment, and independent decision-making during interventional procedures
- Monitor patient status pre-, intra-, and post-procedure; manage medications, hemodynamics, and recovery priorities
- Communicate effectively with the cardiology team to ensure safe, efficient procedures and optimal patient outcomes
Requirements
- Active California Registered Nurse license
- Interventional/Cath Lab nursing experience preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital travel assignment environment
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and collaboration skills
- Ability to meet credentialing and compliance requirements for the assignment
