Registered Nurse – Med Surg in Marysville, California. Start date: 08/24/2026 for an 8-week travel assignment. Weekly pay: $2,311–$2,409. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 3x12 Night shifts (7:00 PM–7:30 AM). Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital. This assignment requires professional nursing care for a wide age range, with collaboration across the care team and a focus on patient education and discharge planning.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, age-appropriate nursing care for adult patients on the medical-surgical unit, following the nursing process and the plan of care.
- Perform focused assessments, monitor vital signs, administer medications and treatments, and document responses in the electronic chart.
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, adjust plans as needed, and ensure timely communication of changes in patient status.
- Provide patient and family teaching, discharge planning, and transition-of-care support to promote safe, effective recovery.
- Delegate tasks to appropriately licensed/unlicensed staff in alignment with current clinical competence and scope of practice.
- Maintain high standards of safety, infection control, and quality outcomes while adhering to unit policies and EPIC documentation requirements.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required at time of hire
- Demonstrated competency in Dysrhythmia during orientation (for all departments except Obstetrics/NICU)
- IV Sedation competency within 6 months of hire
- At least two years of recent RN experience in the field; BSN preferred
- EPIC electronic health record experience required
- Neonatal Resuscitation and/or Perinatal fetal monitoring qualifications may apply if assigned to related units; specific departmental requirements will be reviewed during orientation
- Ability to work night shift and adapt to a fast-paced acute care environment
