Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care for high-acuity CCU patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
- Coordinate, manage, provide, and delegate patient care in collaboration with the health care team to ensure safety and quality.
- Maintain established Standards of Nursing Practice and promote cooperation among the care team.
- Document patient status, monitor for changes, and escalate concerns promptly.
- Communicate with patients and families to support education, consent, and care transitions; participate in discharge planning.
- Collaborate in interdisciplinary rounds and ensure alignment with unit goals; this position is represented by CNA.
Requirements
- Professional RN duties as described for CCU patients, with the ability to work in a hospital CCU environment.
- Active RN licensure in California or eligibility to practice as a Registered Nurse in the state.
- Ability to perform 12-hour day shifts and adjust to a travel assignment across a CCU setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; commitment to patient safety and high-quality care.
- Prior CCU or critical care experience is preferred.
