Travel Surgical Tech Job
WI OR Surgical Tech, FT Monday-Thursday, 7am-5:30pm with call time rotation. Located in Mauston, WI, this travel assignment is for 13 weeks in a short-term acute care setting with both surgical and clinic activities. Start date is 03/23/2026. Weekly pay ranges from $1,716 to $1,795 with guaranteed hours of 36 per week. Shift pattern is 4x10 days. This role requires maintaining a clean, sterile operating room and supporting the surgical team during procedures.

Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room for procedures, establish and maintain the sterile field, and ensure equipment and supplies are ready
- Pass instruments, fluids, and supplies to the surgeon; assist with procedures while maintaining sterile technique
- Maintain records of steam sterilizer use and ensure proper sterilization of instruments
- Perform initial instrument, sharps, and sponge counts with the circulator; monitor and verify counts
- Keep suture carts organized, monitor expiration dates, and restock supplies; turnover of rooms between cases
- Assist with patient positioning pre-operatively and transport patients from cart to bed and back; aid with gowning and gloving as needed
Requirements
- BLS certification required
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Certification: Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
- Experience: 1+ years of related work experience preferred
- References: Must have 2 references included in submission packet
- Ability to work in a fast-paced surgical setting and maintain accurate records and counts
