Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) travel assignment in Lamar, Colorado. Start date 09/07/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range $2,940 to $3,105 per week, with guaranteed hours of 40 per week. Shift: Day shift with weekend call, typically 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday–Friday, with some late days to complete surgical caseload. Work setting includes a hospital and a critical access designation.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care across Pre-operative, OR/Circulator, and PACU within three OR suites and related areas
- Function as primary caregiver, managing assessments, documentation, emotional support, transfers, postoperative recovery, and patient education
- Circulate cases for General, OB/GYN, Ophthalmology (cataract surgery), and Orthopedics; assist with high caseloads up to one to two times per month in ophthalmology/orthopedics as scheduled
- Prepare and process instruments/equipment in central sterilizing; maintain sterile technique and instrument counts; support anesthesia providers
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and circulating staff; uphold infection control standards per IAHCSMM, AORN, ASGE, and ASPAN guidelines
- Document care, coordinate transfers, and support ongoing patient education; adapt to workflow changes and high-stress situations
Requirements
- Current Colorado RN license (active)
- ACLS certification required; CNOR preferred; scrub experience preferred
- Education: RN graduate with current Colorado licensure
- Experience: Minimum 3 years Pre-op/OR/PACU experience preferred
- Ability to function across Pre-op, OR/Circulator, and PACU roles; ability to work effectively in a high-stress surgical environment
- Physical demands: able to stand for extended periods, perform lifting, and work around blood and body fluids
